During an unprecedented time of self and government-imposed isolation, Baltimore Neighbors Network BNN was founded to connect older Baltimore City neighbors to necessary resources and to provide social and emotional support during the very stressful months of quarantine. From the organizing team that has met twice a week, to the clinicians that have supported volunteers, to those making the phone calls themselves--nearly the entire effort was organized and executed without compensation.
Between March, and May, , volunteers made more than 40, phone calls, connected with nearly 11, neighbors providing more than 1, resource referrals. The BNN story reflects the heart and soul of Baltimoreans.
